Mysterious Complexities Of Modern Communication

Wow, have I just begun to learn about the complex mysteries concerning "phones" including cell, portable, VoIP and more.

Last night I was on an internet connection that cost me zero, talking to my friend and computer consultant, Gordon Bateson. He lives in Japan. He had his camera on -- we chatted for a short time -- me watching his live image on my computer screen -- and we talking back and forth just as you do on a "regular" phone. That phone service can be downloaded at no cost -- it is called "Skype."

Earlier in that day I got an eMail from a stranger in Nigeria. He provided his phone number there. I called him on my new service. He has nothing more than a regular landline. The call went through smoohly -- I talking to him over the Skype service and paying about 10 cents per minute for getting my call through to an international landline. (These rates vary by coutry -- parts of India cost me 12 cents per minute!)

I also have found THE one honest source of information about phones, particularly toll free numbers that can be pointed to cell phones, or landlines or portable phones.

This toll free line is not completely active yet. It works within the local area around Los Angeles, and in due course it will work for all the US and Canada. Now it rings in my office (if called from a nearby phone) but soon it will ring on my cell phone and will ring there no matter where it is dialed from in the US and Canada.

I've just bought a couple "Bluetooth headsets" on eBay and will be connecting my toll free number to my (eBay purchased) Nextel i605 cell phone. That phone allows TWO incoming lines. One of them will be my toll free number -- the other? I've not decided yet.

When that phone rings, it can be lying in a docking station, keeping it charged, anywhere within at least 30 feet and I'll get the "ring" in my wireless headset -- a "Bluetooth" headset.

This whole system accepts about 600 stored contacts and allows me to dial any of them by giving voice commands, all "hands free."

If you follow all the twists and turns, I can soon have my Bluetooth wireless headset on and give a voice command that will dial my friend in India, be connected to him and talk as long as we wish with no cost. I already have in place a phone number that is "local for London" so that any resdent of London can call this number (local for him) and the ring will be in my ear on my wireless headset.

The mechanics of "communication" (I include computers and the internet in this category) are probably the fastest changing of all technologies, yet none of these popular new technologies deals with the vital core of "live communication" as developed by L. Ron Hubbard.

Someone who is on top of these marvels of the mechanics of communication who then combines that with his knowledge of the Hubbard data about "communication" will be light-years ahead of the rest of the crowd.

If there has been any one area of activity that I have specialized in and become good at, it is the use of my knowledge and skill with "Hubbard Communication concepts" in combination with the mechanical marvels of technical aspects of communication, for some years me concentrating on the internet and my webs, but now, fascinatingly, "telephones" in all their many ramifications.

Here is one of the two new toll free numbers I have now and will soon have fully implemented and in use, as described above.

There is much more and I must tell you that I am only now beginning to understand how much I still don't understand in this area.
