MSM Bath

The sections in blue below are what might well be used as public information on an "MSM" bath.

There is one link I might have included below that I want to explain more HERE, and not in the material below. After further thought I did NOT include that link in the MSM bath text, but it is well worth other eMail Blasting promotion, to further my purpose of dissemination of Scientology.

I've had for some time a "motto," not aligned with any LRH that I know, that "When the Student is Ready the Teacher will appear."

The non-LRH characteristic here is that the teacher is denied the cause position.

But it may still align with LRH if you consider that dissemination to those whose tone level is too low -- requires too much effort and money -- it is easier to go after the more able ones, for whom Scientology is, anyway.

But, with or without the LRH alignment, I've often found this motto to be true.

In keeping with this finding of truth, I explain to myself why it is easy to disseminate to some people, not to others, and come up with the corollary that "It is up to the student to get himself up to the level of awareness so that my "ordinary" promotional material will reach him, because he is READY.

In keeping with that I have, over the years, written both complex and lengthy articles which, perhaps then and not now, were at the right level for a "student to be ready."

In keeping with all of that I have written several pages, most of them years ago, which were intended to "give a clue" to someone about Scientology without giving it to him overtly -- thus allowing him to have enough curiosity about what I say to spend some energy LOOKING FOR what I hint does exist.

In this vein, the above link, contained within my long auto-biography, describes my "new religion" with no obvious reference to ANY religion, but only to Thomas Paine and my take on the Parable of the Tower of Babble.

It is all on that link.

My thought is that when that link is included, along with some mystery sandwich, in writing about, for instance, an MSM bath, some up tone, curious people will click the link, others will not.

Even those who click? Some will explore the hints further, most probably will not.

And so it is that I have several "links" scattered amongst my writings that give clues to finding Scientology.

At first I thought to include one or several such links within the MSM bath text and so created the list below.

I then decided to leave the text without these added links, but also decided to LEAVE the links for possible future reference to this subject.

However I DID publish the following, in green, on the page containing my autobiography, in the section about "My New Religion."

I have long believed in the motto I often use: "When the student is ready the teacher will appear."

That motto puts a considerable responsibility on the STUDENT to make himself READY for my type of teaching. So that applies particularly here. I have chosen to NOT promote my religion overtly, but to give you plenty of clues for your own follow-up. For instance, it would be appropriate to say about MY religion, that: "I think that any religion, to be useful to you, must include the concept of the value of "confession" to a spiritual being, but I would also say that the well-known Catholic tradition of "confession" is completely inadequate, and leaves the person who has confessed to his priest, completely lacking in the actual benefit of confession." Too many Catholics "confess" and continue to sin -- for the lack of proper "confessional technology." It is this type of hint I have placed in hundreds of places in my writings -- hints that may strike a chord of interest in this person or that. If that interest is "struck," perhaps the person will then LOOK FOR and find alternative philosophies of "confession" and thus come to be READY for further teaching.

If you read that hint and it does not strike that chord of interest, at least it also did NOT concern you as a possible attempt to dissuade you from your own religious beliefs -- that type of dissuasion being one of the most difficult to perform.

Not necessarily recalling them all, here is a list of such:

If you, for instance, had absolute certainty that, an instant after you die, "you" (in some spiritual sense) would take on a new baby body and continue to live, in that new body, you might regard death differently from the person who believes that immediately after his death there is NO continuation of any aspect of his personality.

AND .. DOZENS MORE ...

Next Section, in blue, written by Karl on September 13, 2009, then revised (revisions also in blue) starting on September 16, 2009:

I did not do MSM Soaks every day for many years. I would do them at irregular intervals. Lately, however, I have started a series of DAILY MSM baths. Most usually I precede the soak with an exercise session in my swim spa, with the water heated to 95 degrees (F).

This is now a matter for my PERSONAL research. I often do my research by applying my unusually perceptive ability to observe small changes in MY body from some vitamin or action.

Thus, with my daily spa soaks for some weeks I expect to observe significant changes in my body condition and health -- and be able to further report on those.

The prior swim spa exercise leaves my body quite cleaned from the water, the motions, the heat of the water and the chlorine in that water.

For the Spa Soak, the MSM bath, I start with a tub containing the usual overflow valve, stop up the main drain and turn on just hot water.

Normally, most houses, the tub water will soon be much too hot for bathing.

I let the hot fill the tub, still below the overflow outlet, testing. When it is obviously too hot to use, I turn off the hot and turn on the cold, testing regularly.

I now let it fill, looking for the comfortable temperature, and also wanting the water to get up to starting through the overflow outlet.

If it is too hot, I continue with the cold.

Get the water OK.

Then I get in, slowly so as to not raise the water over the edge of the tub.

The genital area is usually more sensitive to hot than the foot, so I carefully assure myself that I can lower myself completely to a sitting position, then start to relax. At this time the water is probably flowing out of the overflow outlet -- to reach the level where no more leaves.

I like the water in the tub to be as high as possible so I can get all of my body under water for the soak.

I soak, and try to soak for at least 30 minutes

While I soak I often to "mental exercises" such as knowingly putting "my attention" on one of the corners of the space -- then two corners. It takes much practice, but I get up to all eight corners at one time. I consider the skill to do this is one of the important factors in my unique research ability. I can practice in the bathtub.

When it seems OK, the water a bit cooler, I run MORE all hot water in to heat up the water already in the tub.

I make a point to duck my whole head under the water, running my fingers through my hair to make sure the MSM water is thoroughly in contact with the scalp.

(NOTE: When I have research tested Clarks Colloidal Minerals (which has a high percentage of sulfur, like MSM) I found it was very good for my hair, but it left the hair much more stiff than MSM water will. Clarks Minerals are also much more expensive the MSM to use in a bath.)

(Further note: MSM is made from the raw material of DMSO. DMSO has useful therapeutic use, but DMSO carries the disadvantage of creating a taste of kerosene in the mouth when applying it on the skin.)

I now have done more than five daily baths and never fail to duck my head. I also open my eyes under the water -- there is no danger as long as you use pure MSM, and not more than what I use -- one kilogram per tub (about 40 gallons).

In today's case, I am still treating a relatively open wound from an infection in my arm, I make sure that part of my arm is deep into the water. I even use the relatively rough - textured wash cloth to wipe the open wound area == removing any easy-to-remove dead skin or old blood -- so that the wound is more exposed to the MSM water. There is no particular sensation to the arm area from the MSM water.

In the past few days, the heated swim spa 30 minutes removes SOME of the old scab or blood, but not all -- virtually all remaining is cleaned away from the MSM water.

I usually lie in the tub with a towel behind my neck for comfort in laying against the edge of the tub.

I stayed in the tub for 30 minutes, running all hot water in twice to keep the temperature up. Each time I run in more water the level rises so that some escapes through the overflow -- continuing until the water is hot but still comfortable.

I must have ducked my head under at least 6 times, holding my breath as long as was easy.

I kept applying a small sopping wet wash cloth over my face and top of my head when not ducked under.

I usually spend at least 30 minutes in my heated (95 degrees F) outdoor spa, doing exercises and allowing the strong water jets to act as pulsating vibration on sore joints, before I do an MSM soak. The spa, including the chlorine in the water and the heat, generally removes any dirt or oils on my skin.

Nonetheless, after 30 minutes of MSM soaking, there is a "ring around the tub," the kind you might get from a regular bath using soap and removing dirt from the body.

This "ring," however is MORE particles of body oils leaving the skin because of the MSM bath. You will be surprised at how much "stuff" there is in this "tub ring" and you would presumably clean the ring (with a simple washcloth wiping action) while the water is draining.

Before I get out of the tub, I clean off that ring.

My tub, maybe others, is such that when I get in and when I get out, I am standing with one foot in the tub and one foot outside, on the floor. In my case the tub bottom is higher than the floor and the width between my two feet is significant.

There is an easy chance to lose ones balance standing so, athwart the tub rim.

I am sure to place a towel thickness on the edge of the tub, under my crotch so that if I slip and fall into the edge of the tub, I do not land on that edge into my crotch.

When I get out I dry myself, dress and go on with the day.

Today, not needed, but many times after that bath I would feel particularly good at taking a nude snooze, just feeling the calmness that come from a warm bath with MSM.

In the last couple days I was too busy to take this nooze (a "nude" snooze) and I emphasize that this is an important thing to do. While you are in the hot water, your body is heating up to that hot water temperature. When you get out of the water, the air will undoubtedly be much cooler -- you may well feel sweat. It is great to lie comfortably, no covers, and allow the normal air temperature help your body cool to its normal level.

Today I used one full KG plus about 1/4 Kg, in a tub of water, probably 40 gallons. There would be a percentage of MSM in solution (all dissolved) and the percent solution is easy to figure:

One Kilogram of MSM equals 2.2 pounds. One gallon of water is 8 pounds, so the bathtub, with 40 gallons, contains 320 pounds of water -- less than a 1% solution.

Water will hold MSM in solution -- the percentage of the MSM that will dissolve? Water will hold a theoretical maximum of 25% of the water weight in MSM weight. The 25% figure depends on the temperature of the water -- hotter water holds a larger amount of MSM.

Thus, if you wanted to compare the weak solution in the MSM bath described here, just consider that you could dissolve as much as 20 kg, or 44 pounds of MSM, in the 40 gallons of water. That would produce only a 8% solution in the tub.

I've done personal research with MSM eye drops I made myself and used on my own eyes. Keep in mind that the FDA laws make it illegal to sell MSM Eye Drops without an FDA Drug approval.

When I did this I found no sensation of any type on my eye ball with concentrations of 4% or less. At about 5% solution my eye ball felt a very pleasant, soothing, warm sensation.

Only when I tried a 10% solution did I feel slight discomfort on my eye ball -- a very slight "stinging."

A stronger solution, even as much as 20%, would be much more beneficial in an "MSM foot bath" == done in a tray that might hold only one or two gallons at the most -- require much less MSM to get the higher concentration.

I've done this, even putting the MSM water into a tray that I then "held over" for several days to use the same water repeatedly.

I threw out the water when it collected too much dirt and oil from my feet -- but otherwise you get a much faster change in the skin -- particularly good for thick skin on the soles of your feet.

It would obviously be a prudent thing to buy your MSM in the 20 KG bag at the much lower cost for this luxurious usage for a spa soak.

I did not open my eyes under water this time, but did next time.

As I did my MSM bath daily now I find that these minutes of relaxation are very productive to my research on my personal response to the MSM and hot water.

I've come to realize that there is a spiritual component to my research on health subjects. That component has to do with "seeing the truth" about something. It relates to "seeing some data as false" when it is false. Both of these are abilities related to your spiritual perception.

In this sense I perceive that my skin is getting smoother early in the soaking -- while another might not "notice" until they have soaked daily many days.

I've tested the purity of our MSM and strongly advise you NOT to use any other brand of MSM. Every other brand we have tested, including from sources is Europe and elsewhere, contains additives that impede the full benefits of pure MSM.

One of the impedances is that the impure MSM will not penetrate through your skin like pure MSM will do. Our MSM is pure organic sulfur -- the most important single nutrient for skin, nails and hair.

Don't be surprised as your nails, hair and skin start getting more healthy and vibrant. I feel that change taking place after only a few daily baths -- it may take you longer, but keep it up.

Finally others will see this also. It is a fine validation of your earlier, personal perception of your skin condition, when someone says, "My, your skin looks different!"
