This Company Policy covers the subject of moving all or part of the Vibrant Life activities to a different location. More specifically this Policy covers the potential of a move to the State of Nevada. Other Company Policies may well cover different areas.

The quick comment about Nevada:

  • It is close to the present California location
  • Nevada has no State Income or Sales Tax
  • Karl Loren LLC is already registered to do business in Nevada and has established banking relations there
  • Las Vegas is a Nevada city within reasonable driving or flying time from Los Angeles. Las Vegas is also the home of a large, well-established Church of Scientology Model Org. Other parts of Nevada would differ as to ease of transportation and communication with major communications centers in the US
  • While Nevada is considered mostly a desert area, and is, there are many rivers, lakes and dams in Nevada that create "waterfront" real estate.
    • Annual Rainfall in Nevada is HERE on a climate map for Nevada.

Here is the entire State, showing major roads and cities:

Nevada Road Map

Here is the map showing rivers, lakes and water in Nevada:

Within Nevada there are three city-areas that illustrate the State as far as a prospective place to locate a residence and business:

  • Las Vegas
  • Reno/Carson City/Lake Tahoe
  • Laughlin

The total distance from Las Vegas, NV to Reno, NV is 345 miles.

The best time to visit Las Vegas is in the spring or fall, when temperatures are surprisingly mild. The desert climate insures a minimum of rainfall, and daytime temperatures are predictably pleasant, often in the high 60s and low 70s (Fahrenheit). Visitors during the winter months should be advised that evening temperatures can often drop into the 30s, with daytime highs often in the low 50s. From mid-May through September the heat is stifling, with daytime temperatures often topping the 100-degree mark.

For those traveling on a shoestring budget, room rates are often ridiculously inexpensive during the weekdays, as well as during the off-season (May through October and December through January). However, room rates can often change dramatically from week to week, particularly if the city is hosting a major convention.

Laughlin

Laughlin, NV Weather

Source: Laughlin, Nevada usually has over 300 days of sunshine each year. An average annual rainfall of 1.78 inches makes this region an arid climate. We like to call it a "dry" heat. The average high temperature is 90 degrees and the average low temp is 64. These yearly averages actually mean nothing because during a Laughlin, NV summer it is plain hot, night and day. There is no cold tap water in my pipes during the summer months.

I've experienced morning lows of 102 degrees during the summer. Many nights remain over 100 degrees until 1AM. During the winter, spring and fall it is very nice, often windy, but those are the Laughlin, Nevada days we love.

I sent the following message to the listing broker:

Dear Terrie,

I'm looking for an unusual situation. Basically I'm looking for something for my Company, Staff and myself. I will want a retirement home, large, and would like space for my internet marketing company, no customers ever visit me, warehouse is elsewhere, including housing room for my Executive Director and about 4 staff in semi-dormitory or modest apartment style.
Must have secure internet connection, possibility of T1 Line
Semi-Luxury for me and modest for company and staff

Fixer up is of interest with contracted amount and type of lease-hold improvements
Lease Option is of interest
I am currently paying $4000 per month in California and want to move out of Cal.
I write a newsletter on the economy, housing, and believe there will be a drastic continuing fall in home prices, lease/rental rates, so want to wait for that to happen -- about one year from now.
