Survey Of Existing Programs

October 24, 2008

Last Revised:  May 23, 2012 4:50 PM

The Director of Planning, with assistance from Karl Loren and Tim von Hollen, are now to be engaged on a "Survey of Existing Programs" as described and referenced here.

That reference page includes this very specific reference to the "survey" action per LRH:

B. Survey the old system and its existing programs to preserve them eradicate them or combine them with the new plans.

Karl has made his own first survey of past (many undone) and current programs (many incomplete) [this page]. These are the programs which we should "preserve" some, "eradicate" some, and "combine" some. That action now falls into the purview of the Director of Planning, Clifford Woods, with help from Karl and Tim.

The items covered in this survey are in a table with a code system that allows the items in the table to be "re-sorted" in some different order -- to allow items to be changed in priority and to be changed as to category.

Category Code

AX indicates X Sub-Category of A category

AAX means X SubCategory of AA Category -- Most Important Past Categories

A Category is a plan or plan element originated prior to the new era of "planning."

AA Category is a plan originated earlier, with considerable development but still incomplete

B Category is a plan or plan element originated AFTER the new era of planning.

AB Category is a plan or plan element which was originated before this era of Planning, but is considered sufficiently vital so as to be worthy of Current Activation with prospective revision.

W Category is a plan (or fragment) which, after review here, is to be preserved for implementation when and as Management decides

Y Category is a plan which, after review here, is to be eradicated from attention or use, other than for data. It is left in this list, with the "Y" category for record purposes

Z Category is a plan (or fragment) which, after review here, is to be combined with one or more other items for use and prospective activation.

X can be replaced by C, D, E, etc, each with its own significance as initially established or as revised from time to time.

It is the intention here to make sub-categories "C," "D," "E," etc each mutually exclusive from other sub-categories -- as much as possible.

When X = C means "C Subcategory" which stands for a subcategory related to electronics or programs for keeping track of the database of customers, sales, etc.

When X = "D" The Subcategory stands for Marketing and Sales plans or programs, etc.

"E" Subcategory stands for Expansion and Ownership Succession plans or programs, etc.

"F" Subcategory is a very brief item, like a "bright new idea."

"G" Subcategory stands for a Plan related to web sites

"H" Subcategory stands for space and facilities for the business.

"I" Subcategory stands for implementation of LRH management technology including use of statistics

"J" Subcategory stands for Org Board Items and Hats

"K" Subcategory stands for Personnel Plans

"L" Subcategory stands for Administrative Plans

A complete code could then be shown as AB3 meaning that this is the third numbered item in a set of items in the "AB" category. Generally the intention is to NOT have any duplicate in these "number" indicators. Numbers may be shown with decimals, as "3.4" for ease of inserting or revising codes for items. The numbers do not have any other significance than to provide a unique code/category for purpose of reference.

When the column containing these various codes is "sorted" mechanically with the publishing program, they are then rearranged in the order in which you will normally find them here, published.

Category Codes may be changed (and the table re-sorted) when review of the item indicates a more useful Category/Code.

Cancer Can Be Prevented! There is an alteration in the multiplication process which is also the problem.  It is as if an otherwise "healthy" cell, supposed to reproduce every 20 days, starts reproducing every five hours.  That much growth is harmful even if the individual cells would be, otherwise, OK.  In the case of a cancer cell not only does it multiply more rapidly than it should, but the cell itself is different from the original cell -- before cancer.  The click here reference is a good one for a traditional understanding of cancer.

Report & Statistics Design Project The Worthwhile Purpose is that the major tool of management is the use of "statistics" and the entire Electronic Information System must be designed so as to make it easy and even automatic to collect raw data into Statistics and Reports so that Management can do the job of Managing.
Statistics The vital statistics used for measuring the achievement of the Ideal Scene for Vibrant Life are best understood by repeating the Ideal Scene, with comments on the types of statistics that might be used to measure each part of the Ideal Scene.  Actual statistics and exact procedures for collection and using them start here.

Sub-Product List There is a useful concept developed by Mr. Hubbard, called the "sub-product" list.  The short explanation of this is that a "valuable final product" is made up of several previous "sub-products."  If you are having difficulty in producing a final product the problem is often that some earlier "sub-product" is missing or defective.  It helps, then, in organizing an activity, to know what are the sub-products that lead up to a final product.

Display Structure -- Master Main -- Database Project This is a coordinated Project for both Nick and Tom. I believe there is a command within MySQL something like the "display structure" in dBase that allows the presentation of the names of the fields, the datatype, the length of the fields and probably the relations with other tables. This presentation, then, by way of PHP converted into HTML, should be shown on a page on the Lucid Minds web. Generally all the existing tables used within the Entry Program can be created this way -- making structural changes as needed.
