4 Ways to Balance the Solar Plexus Chakra
Sometimes in life, we seem to slow in progress or just slip off track for no explainable reason. Having all been there, learning how to find these roadblocks quickly and let go of them is essential for continued spiritual and mental growth. Today i will be showing you 4 ways to bring balance to the 3rd chakra in your life, the solar plexus chakra, also known as the Manipura.
Digestive problems that don’t seem to be going away despite doctors appointments? gallstones, addictions, eating disorders and self-esteem problems all fall under your solar plexus chakra! Even simply not feeling yourself is closely tied to your Manipura.
The way i like to think of this chakra is a play on the word Manipura. If man is feeling pure in one’s self and one’s emotions, then the solar plexus is in fine balance 🙂
Anyway… Here are 4 really simple and effective ways to bring balance back to your solar plexus!
Using the Colour of the Manipura.
The Manipura is associated with the colour yellow. Picturing a radiant yellow image, like a flower or gemstone can start to balance out you chakra immediately. Another great way is to use / wear a shade of yellow that brings you happiness and peace. Feel it energise and invigourate you when you’re wearing / looking at it.
Use of Crystals (and Meditation).
Using crystals that are related to the solar plexus can really help with balancing your chakra. This is because vibrational frequencies of certain crystals resonate well with the Manipura, and help bring balance and order back to it. I find the most effective to be:
- Yellow tourmaline
- Tiger’s eye
- Yellow Jasper
One method that works well for me is simply sitting with a crystal, and taking a few cycles of breath, whilst firmly holding a crystal in my hands. Afterwards, you may feel refreshed and balanced. Basically any yellow crystal you have, although I know malachite is effective on this chakra too.
Using Aromatherapy to Balance.
Essential oils carry many healing properties which can be used with aromatherapy to help bring balance back to your solar plexus chakra. The best for this method are rich and fragrant oils like myrrh, roman chamomile, rosewood, mandarin, patchouli ( my personal favourite) and clary sage.
Using a cotton ball to place the oils onto and letting them diffuse is a simple way to do this. Or even better – using an ultrasonic diffuser to fill your room with the oils! These can be picked up pretty cheaply on sites like Amazon or eBay.
Healing with nature.
If you are lucky enough to live in a consistently hot climate, taking walks out in the sun are most beneficial. This is because the sun is one of most effective ways to channel energy back into this chakra. For those folks in colder climates, sitting in front of a toasty log fire or campfire and just gazing at the flames will bring about a similar effect.
